This page shows our impression of the weather here in Malta on a monthly basis

At the beginning its worth saying that how we feel temperature is relative to what we are used to except when it comes to excessive heat or cold, so tourists coming to Malta in winter from Northern Europe will feel warmer than the locals - hence tourists in shorts and t shirts and locals in thick coats and scarves - so bear this in mind regarding our comments re winter temperatures

January	We have not onlt complained about it being cold in our yearly observations but also commented that some days were quite warm.	there will be a good few warm and sunny days but as the "days" are short the sun is only warm for a few hours	we've had 2 very wet Januarys and 2 quite dry ones	there are going to be at least a couple of days of very strong, very cold winds that bring very rough seas
February	February seems to be the month when we feel the cold most but can still expect a few warm days	there will be a good few warm and sunny days but as the "days" are short the sun is only warm for a few hours	in our observations at the time we have commented less about rain in February than in the preceding months so has probably been less wet	but conversely each February we have complained about the cold winds
March	Expect both cold and warm days and even the odd hot day- with it possibly getting warmer as the month progresses - but not neccessarily	There will be a few nice sunny day but	there will be some very wet ones	and there will still be cold strong winds on a few days
April	our observations suggest that by April its getting warmer on average but there can still be cold days	our observations suggest that by April its getting sunnier on average but there can still be overcast days	there will be a few rainy days	the cold wind is now an unusual occurance
May	Its normally now pleasantly warm, occasionally cool and sometimes HOT	Sunny is now the norm but dont be surprised by the odd overcast day	an outside chance of a rain storm	an outside chance of a day with strong but warmer wind
June	Its now hot to VERY hot during the day but very occasionally cool of an evening	Sunny is now the norm but dont be surprised by the odd overcast day	an outside chance of a rain storm	an outside chance of a day with strong but warmer wind
July	VERY hot	Hardly a cloud in the sky	dont expect even a spot of rain	little wind, any breeze will be warm
August	Very Hot - has reached 37 degrees in the shade	Mostly cloudless but an uotdide chance of a cloudy day	outside chance of a tropical storm	little wind, any breeze will be warm
September	The daytimes are likely to be hot, but beginning to cool in the evenings	Usually sunny but increasing chance of cloudy days	there will be a number of wet even stormy days	little wind, any breeze will be warm
October	still warm during the day time and possibly a hot spell, cooler in the evening	less sunny days but be prepared to be surprised	as likely to rain as not	we have not commented when completing the monthly entries so at least not likely be be strong or cold
November	just as likely to be warm or cool	less sunshine and the heat disappears out of it earlier	expect some stormy days and it to be wet at least 1 day in 3	we have not commented when completing the monthly entries so at least not likely be be strong or cold
December	when the sun is out, high in the sky and theres no wind it will be pleasantly warm.
